Overview

This visa is intended only for the purpose of leisure travel, including holidays, for sightseeing, to see friends and/or relatives and for other leisure activities. If during any stage of the visit to Italy the applicant intends to engage in business or official duties, he or she must refer to the other relevant visa sections. Once the applications are received by the Visa Application Centre, they will be sent to the Italian Embassy in Tripoli. After that, the embassy can contact the applicant directly to conduct a personal interview if necessary, or for any other inquiries.

Upon completion of the evaluation by the Embassy of Italy, the decision will be ready along with the passport and other relevant documents to be received at the Visa Application Centre.

– Work summary permit (translated into English).
– Salary certificate (translated into English).
– Bank statement for the last 6 months (translated into English).

Businessmen/self-employed people:

– Work license (translated into English).
– Chamber of Commerce (translated into English).
– Commercial register (translated into English).
– The company’s latest tax receipt (translated into English).
- Recent invoices or any other papers proving the existence of commercial exchanges by the Libyan company with a company or companies abroad or internally, or both (translated into English).
– Company account statement for the last 6 months (translated into English).
– Personal bank statement for the last 6 months (translated into English).

Retirees:

– The pensioner’s card/certificate or his partner’s certificate.

Wife (housewife):

– An acknowledgment of financial responsibility for travel and accommodation costs signed by the spouse or parent and notarized, in addition to proof of their income (work certificate, salary slips).

Personal documents:

– For single people: birth certificate (translated into English).
– For married people: family status (translated into English).
– (2) photos with a white background.
– Passport (must contain at least two blank pages and have an expiry date of at least 3 months after the end of travel).
– A copy of the relevant pages of the passport and previous Schengen visas.

Minor children:

– Sign the visa application and submit it in the presence of the parents, attaching the family status certificate.

the students:

– Student card, school attendance certificate, confirmed certificate of registration at school/university.

Overview

A work visa is required if the applicant intends to carry out commercial or economic activities such as meetings, conferences, training courses, trade fairs, etc. This visa can only be issued to applicants who are not paid for their work by an entity within Italy. If the applicant intends to do paid work in Italy, he or she will need to obtain a work permit. This visa is only intended for work purposes or for an applicant who has been issued an invitation letter by the Italian authorities.
